 Biograph: Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was born on May 1st, 1881 to Emmanuel and Berthe-Adele Teilhard de Chardin. His mother was the great-grandniece of Francois-Marie Arouet, more popularly known asthe French auteur-philosophe Voltaire.
